The Morning Brew: Lava vs. a Mustang
Lava destroys mustang

Hawaii is a great place to kick back and enjoy some sun, surf and relaxation in just about anyone's book, but it can be hazardous when volcanoes are spewing lava all over the place.
The owner of this For Mustang found that out the hard way when his car was swallowed up and entombed forever in volcanic rock.
From the CBS:
KILAUEA, HI (CBSDFW.COM) — Lava flows on Hawaii’s Big Island are destroying everything in their path including houses, cars, roads and fences. A cameraman captured video of a the destruction this past weekend.
In the video, a lava flow can be seen slowly creeping across the roadway towards a white Ford Mustang. The flow eventually reaches and ignites the vehicle.
In another portion of the video, lava easily pushes through a gate as vegetation burns on either side of what appears to be a road or driveway.
While there seems to be enough time to move the car out of the path of the lava — as of Monday morning — there were no details about the car’s owner or why the vehicle wasn’t moved. Evacuations in Hawaii have forced many residents away from their homes.
According to officials, nearly 2,000 people have been asked to leave their homes after lava destroyed five houses and sulfur dioxide gas threatened to harm residents who stayed in the area.
