The Morning Brew: Oklahoma gets its first tornado of 2018

The twister touched down near Buffalo

Much has been made about Oklahoma going this deep into spring without a tornado, but that streak is now over thanks to a tornado that touched down near Buffalo on the Kansas-Oklahoma border about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

The pace is likely to pick up in the coming weeks. May is typically the most active month of tornado season. Weather today could be severe in some places.
