Nathan Chamer wins Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

Nathan Chamer hopped over the finish line banner, a smile plastered on his face. 

In his first ever marathon, Chamer took first place with a time of 2 hours, 33 minutes and 44 seconds.

Chamer, 40, was presented the winner's trophy and medal by Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt. 

Chamer is a registered Nurse at Mercy hospital and said he was inspired to run the Memorial Marathon to be apart of the atmosphere. 

"It's electric," he said. "This is just an amazing feeling."
