John Grisham speaks in Oklahoma City
John Grisham spent his Thursday in Oklahoma City. Among his stops, a luncheon at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club to raise awareness for one of two charities he's involved with, the Focused Ultrasound Foundation.
According to the website fusfoundation.org, "The Focused Ultrasound Foundation was created to improve the lives of millions of people with serious medical disorders by accelerating the development and adoption of focused ultrasound."
His other foundation work includes The Innocence Project. He said he's on that board because of his first work of nonfiction, "The Innocent Man" based on an Oklahoma man, Ron Williamson.
Grisham revealed his first book, "A Time To Kill", was his favorite and that the movie had Oklahoma ties. Producer Hunt Lowry is from Oklahoma and was in attendance Thursday.
