HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM AND TINA
Luncheon: Pam Smith and Tina Stubbs celebrated their birthdays at a lobster luncheon in the home of Kanela Huff. Co-hostesses were Sue Magness and Brooke Phillips. Accompanying the lobster were side dishes of Mediterranean salad, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and green beans.
Instant winners: The women decorated packages for prizes from the hostess and filled them with scratch-off lottery tickets for a gift exchange.
The tables: All sorts of lobster-themed items were on the table, including melted butter pitchers, lobster pails for the shells, and lobster bibs. Roses and lilies were centerpieces and Huff used her Christmas china and glasses. Several Christmas trees were decorated and set up through the house, including one with flowers and red balls, one filled with Christmas elves and one decorated with Santas. There was a dessert table filled with Lisa Voegeli's famous iced Christmas cookies, candies, Hostess holiday cupcakes, Twinkies and lollipops.
CELEBRATING THE SEASON
Christmas party: Carey Sue and Ricardo Vega celebrated the Christmas season with a party in their home. They cooked sausage balls, gourmet pigs in a blanket, spinach artichoke dip, and beef tenderloin, along with shrimp, salmon, fruit and vegetables. The desserts were family recipes made by Carey Sue's sister, Audrey Seeliger.
Buffet table: Large red poinsettias served as the centerpiece and they were surrounded by the Vega's collection of nutcrackers. A red and gold striped tablecloth was set on the table.

OKC ORCHESTRA LEAGUE
Holiday luncheon: The Oklahoma City Orchestra League held its Holiday Luncheon at Cole's Garden. It was sponsored and hosted by Jose Freede.
Yummy buffet: The buffet of beef tenderloin on baguette slices, martini glasses of chicken wrapped with bacon on top of mashed potatoes and gravy, and turkey on top of dressing and gravy was served. There also was grilled squash, assorted cheese and crackers, caprese skewers; and a dessert buffet of cookies, cannoli, red velvet cake and chocolate parfaits by C2 Catering. Centerpieces of holiday greenery, red roses, white mums with tall white candles in the centers from Trochta's went home with some lucky members.
The holiday spirit: Music by the Major Leaguers was the entertainment. Carol McCoy is president of the OKC Orchestra League.
THE GRAHAMS ENTERTAIN
Christmas parties: Brenda and Phillip Graham were hosts for a “Christmas Soiree” on Saturday and a “Christmas Affair” on Sunday afternoon for friends and business associates.
Decor: The Graham home was decorated with life-size nutcrackers, giant ornaments, poinsettias and greenery at the front door.
Social hour: Appetizers and beverages were served before guests were seated for a concert performance featuring “Jessica Tate-Jazz Harpist.” After the entertainment, desserts were served.
Saturday guests: Guests included Bo and Jim Bowers, Juanita and Ron Hixon, Becky Olson, Kathy and Steve Griffith, Rose Ann Bewley, Rita and Rick Bornoff, JoAnn and Walt Terrell, Shanna and Jeff Block, Terri and Colice Powell, Eli Najera and Karla Rios, Robbie Dannehi, and Mary Carr.
Sunday guests: Among the guests were Laurie and Jim Johnson, Staci and Rick Vollmer, Susan and Rocky Rutter, Linda and Dr. Kelley Butts, Ralene and Phil Langford, Donetta and Ted Sholette, Rhonda and Monty Hall, Gail and Wade Hughes, Stephanie and Jim Scott, Melissa Barnett, James Watkins, Peter Zhumutski, Janis Tanksley and Diane Singleterry.
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON
Party: Council Grove Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution met in the home of Carlotta Goodman for the Christmas luncheon.
Preserving a legacy: The program was “A Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas,” given by Carol Comp who portrayed her great grandmother, Sarah Dreisbach Shelly, a widow from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She spoke about the holiday folk traditions of the region from the 1800s.
Finale: The program was followed by dessert and an ornament exchange.
Event: Members of the Greater Oklahoma City Alumnae Panhellenic Association had the annual Christmas ornament exchange in the home of Suzanne Reynolds.
Guests: Prior presidents of the association who attended the party were Kim Wallace, Sigma Kappa; Sally Stringer, Delta Delta Delta; Suzanne Bockus, Kappa Alpha Theta; Sue Ann Hyde, Pi Beta Phi; Clarice Morrison, Gamma Phi Beta; LeAnn Harmon, Delta Gamma; Millonn Lilly, Pi Beta Phi; Deanna Pendleton, Delta Zeta; Suzy Smith, Kappa Delta; Lisa Blackburn, Alpha Phi; and Michelle Nisbett, Zeta Tau Alpha.
Occasion: Diana Johnson was the honoree at a baby shower given by Pat Broadfoot, Joyce Bollenbach, Terri Hare, Karen Mayfield and Karen Dahlgren in the Mayfield home. The baby is due in January.
The party: Party foods included a cake decorated with blue roses, blue frosted cupcakes, sugar cookies with white sprinkles and homemade fudge. The centerpiece was orchids, which was given to the hostesses.
The parents-to be, Diana and Blake Johnson, love the character Superman, so there were lots of baby gifts with Superman on them.
Event: The Oklahoma City Alumnae Club of Alpha Gamma Delta celebrated at the annual Christmas party in the home of Lesley Noller. Members brought food items to donate. Instead of exchanging gifts they support the sorority's philanthropy of fighting hunger.
