Holiday adopt-a-pet event begins at Oklahoma City animal shelter

Now through Saturday, Dec. 23, the Oklahoma City animal shelter reducing holiday-season pet adoption fees.

The fee to adopt a dog, puppy or kitten is $30 — half the regular amount — and cats older than six months are free.

Adoption hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. daily at the shelter, 2811 SE 29 Street. 

Adoptable pets are up-to-date on vaccinations, treated for worms, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered.

The promotions, "Feline Navidad" and "Hounds for the Holidays," end Dec. 23 and the animal shelter will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
