The Morning Brew: Let there be Christmas lights in OKC
Christmas light displays in okc are lit
So it's finally December 1, and thus, perfectly acceptable to get in the Christmas spirit without being accused of jumping the gun.
Lights go together with Christmas like milk and cookies go with Santa. There are dozens of holiday light themed events in every corner of the state, but here's a few that are happening in and around the metro area.
- Midwest City Christmas Light Spectacular, Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, Midwest City, through December 30.
- Christmas in the Park, this one is so big it requires three parks -- Yukon City Park, Freedom Trail Park and Chisholm Trail Park. Through December 31.
- Chickasha Festival of Light. Held annually at Shannon Springs Park, this one is considered among the best, if not the best, in the state. Through December 31.
- Downtown in December. This is held annually in downtown Oklahoma City and features a variety of activities beyond lights. Through January 28.
