Edmond North student injured in shop class accident
EDMOND — A student at Edmond North High School was injured Monday morning in an accident during a wood shop class.
The student was operating a table saw and reached for a piece of wood to cut, said Susan Parks-Schlepp, a spokeswoman for Edmond Public Schools. As he did so, he cut his hand on the saw's blade. The student injured the thumb and two other fingers on his left hand.
The student was taken to Children's Hospital, Parks-Schlepp said.
