Beach cam provides glimpse of Irma's power and fury

Maho Beach is a well-known spot on the Caribbean island of St. Martin. Tourists often gather there to get up close and personal views of airliners landing and taking off from Princess Juliana Airport.

A webcam on the beach captured a glimpse of the power and fury of Hurricane Irma as it made landfall on the island. The camera was destroyed and only about a minute of footage was captured but it's enough to get an idea of what a Category 5 hurricane is capable of when it comes to destruction.
