Support group sets meeting
EDMOND — Edmond Chapter of Parents Helping Parents will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at McLaren's Pantry, 3414 S Boulevard. The restaurant is closed to the public at 6 p.m. The meeting is from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Five parents will speak on Life Lessons from Parents of Addicted Children. Parents Helping Parents provides support and resources for parents of addicted children. This is an anonymous meeting and no cost or reservations required. For more information, call 642-8198.
Libraries closed for Labor Day
NORMAN — The hometown libraries of the Pioneer Library System will be closed on Sept. 3 and 4 to observe the Labor Day holiday. Libraries will reopen for their regular hours on Sept. 5. In the meantime, check out any of the library's online services at pioneerlibrarysystem.org, or with the Pioneer Library System Connect App, available for free download from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android.
Special story times offered
The Moore and Southwest Oklahoma City Public Libraries are presenting special story times in September as part of their wide range of events for children and families. Celebrate Grandparent's Day with the Moore library at Golden Grahams and Grandparents Story Time at 10 a.m. Sept. 5, in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 S Howard Ave. The Southwest OKC library presents Dads and Donuts Story Time at 10 a.m. Sept. 9.
