Soccer players come for Edmond tournament

EDMOND — Edmond was the site for the 23rd annual Beat the Heat boys and girls soccer tournament.

There were 228 teams from Texas, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma in the three-day tournament played at Edmond's Service Blake Soccer complex.

Gary Boreham, Edmond Soccer Club director, estimated 10,000 people were in Edmond for the tournament over the weekend.
