Edmond lists lane closures

EDMOND — Work to install a sanitary sewer line under a northbound section of Boulevard Street will cause a lane closure throughout the week. The area of Boulevard Street to be closed is northbound, outside lane between Fourth and Fifth streets. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, and delays should be expected. Motorists are asked to consider an alternate route during this time, if possible. This work is being done as part of the 2017-18 sanitary sewer rehabilitation project. The contractor, with Krapff Reynolds Construction Company, is being paid $1.4 million for the entire project.

Free seed gathering class set

NORMAN — Do you like to gather seeds to use in your garden? The Demonstration and Teaching Gardens will offer a free seed gathering class Saturday at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 615 E Robinson St. The class will help you recognize when seeds are ready, as well as how to collect and store them. Master Gardener Pat Harde will cover issues and tips for seed gathering. Each participant will receive a seed collection kit, with hands-on, guided collecting in the garden in the southwest corner of the fairgrounds. For more information call 321-4774.
