Oklahoma Vice: Woman tossed baby into stranger's car after smoking PCP
High on PCP, an Oklahoma City woman allegedly walked through traffic with her 17-month old baby earlier this month before tossing the child into a stranger's car and hopping into the back seat.
Dashon Butler, 36, of Oklahoma City was charged Monday with felony child neglect in Oklahoma County District Court in connection with the incident.
The first thing Butler remembers after smoking PCP the evening of July 15 is sitting in the back seat of a police car at an Oklahoma City gas station after a bizarre string of events, according to a police affidavit filed in the case.
Butler was allegedly walking down the southbound lane of N Macarthur near NW 5 with her child when a motorist swerved to avoid hitting her, according to a police affidavit. After the driver turned around to check on the mother and child, Butler allegedly "tossed" her child through the open driver's side window of the vehicle and got into the back seat.
"She refused to get out of the vehicle and was making statements about blowing up and asking why they were joking," according to police.
The motorist drove to a nearby gas station and called the police.
Butler "got out of the vehicle and got into another stranger's car as police arrived on scene," according to police.
