Free backpack, school uniform giveaway set for Saturday

The Ashley Parham Foundation will hand out backpacks filled with school supplies beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at L&G's ON THE BLVD, 4801 N Lincoln Blvd.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian to receive a backpack and attend school in the Oklahoma City district. Free school uniforms (white shirts and khakis) will also be handed out and free hot dogs, soda and chips will be served.

Call 819-9409. Parham was killed in 2009 in a car accident that led to a recall of more than 800,000 Hondas. Parham wanted to be a teacher.
