Oklahoma student's creation places 1st in prom attire contest
High school students from across the U.S. and Canada spent almost 3,000 hours and used nearly 1,000 rolls of Duck Tape to make innovative prom attire. Judges selected finalists — 10 in the couples category and five in the singles categories — and let the public choose the winners in online voting.
Pollman placed first in the single's category. She used 13 rolls of Duck Tape and spent 79 hours on her winning entry, which featured a lace overskirt.
Emily O’Gara and Ethan Weber of Lincoln, Nebraska, each received $10,000 in scholarship dollars as the winners in the couples category.
