Make your vote(s) count for this year’s Readers’ Choice

We are ready for you to make your choice.

When we put them all together and add them up, we call it our ‘Readers’ Choice.’

The online voting for The Oklahoman’s 2017 Readers’ Choice Awards is now open. We’ve had the voting available since last Sunday. It continues through Monday night at midnight (or one second before midnight, to be precise).

We put the link to the voting page at the top of NewsOK.com’s home page for all the people that get their news there. We also put the link to the voting page at the top of Oklahoman.com’s home page for our premium digital subscribers who use our daily digital editions.

The link has also been posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages for all the people who navigate the world through their social media accounts.

And I’ll put the link right here – Oklahoman.com/ReadersChoice.

You can vote in each category once per day, which means you can still vote twice for your favorite restaurant, retail location, dentist, chiropractor, travel spot or golf course or casino or museum or theater or … the list goes on and on.

When the voting is complete, we will spend the next few weeks counting all the votes that have come in from the printed copies of the newspaper and we’ll add them with our online votes.

It doesn’t really take weeks, but it is a much larger chore than you might suspect. We get lots of votes from ballots that were printed in our Top 5 section in last Sunday’s editions of The Oklahoman.

We count them all. It’s a process, but it’s worth it.

The winners will be released in our special section on August 27.

Help us make sure we get your choices to complete our Readers’ Choice.
