The Morning Brew: Name the park

Friday is finally here. Check out your headlines!

Name the park

The Oklahoman's Steve Lackmeyer reports a poll on will help determine the name of the 68-acre park being built south of downtown OKC

A committee appointed by Mayor Mick Cornett sifted through more than 6,000 suggestions and chose the following:

Scissortail Park and Skydance Green, both of which are inspired by the state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher and the pedestrian bridge that links the south and north sections of the park; Union Station Commons, inspired by the Union Train Station in the heart of the park; Painted Sky Park and Prairie River Park, nods to the natural backdrop, and Renaissance Green, noting the city's revival over the past quarter-century.

You have until June 14 to vote here.
