Oklahoma City Council deflects stop signs appeal

After an appeal went nowhere, near-northside neighborhoods of Mesta Park and Heritage Hills will get more four-way stops.

The Traffic Commission authorized new stop signs in April, in response to requests from residents concerned about safety.

An Uptown 23rd barkeep, Ian McDermid, appealed that decision to the city council but, on Tuesday, the council deadlocked 4-4 on whether to hear the appeal, effectively settling the matter.
