MAPS: Last 30 days of Oklahoma earthquakes

Within the last 30 days, only 17 quakes with a magnitude of 3.0 or higher were recorded, according to the Oklahoma Geological Survey.

The Oklahoman's Energy Editor Adam Wilmoth reports the overall rate of earthquakes in Oklahoma has fallen over the past two years, but the state still bears a risk of larger tremors. In fact, much of northern and central Oklahoma face a "significant potential for damaging shaking" from man-made earthquakes despite a slowing rate of overall seismic activity in the state.

Here's a heat map of where the 3.0 and higher quakes occurred this year from Feb. 2 - March 2.

And here's a look at the locations of the 17 quakes with a 3.0 or higher magnitude, according to the Oklahoma Geological Survey:
