22nd Annual Frigid Five held in Edmond

EDMOND — The weather was good for the 22nd annual Frigid Five run in Edmond's J.L. Mitch Park.

This year's race was hosted by Precision Timing Solutions and benefited Best Friends of Pets.

For 20 years, the Frigid Five was hosted by the Edmond Running Club until it disbanded in 2015. Friends and relatives asked long-time runner Bronda Williams if they could keep the popular race going. This was the second year for Williams, owner of Precision Timing Solutions, to host the original cold weather race in central Oklahoma.

Best Friends of Pets is a nonprofit that educes pet overpopulation in central Oklahoma and keeps pets in their homes. It offers spaying and neutering at a price low-income residents can afford to prevent cats and dogs from becoming homeless and entering animal shelters.
