Writers group plans meeting

Oklahoma City Writers will meet Feb. 18 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 222 NW 15. Coffee is at 10 a.m. and the program starts at 10:15 a.m. Visitors are welcome. Restaurant Week set

EDMOND — The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce and presenting sponsor, AmeriPride Services, announce Edmond's first Restaurant Week, with food, fun and savings from Feb. 27 through March 6. With 16 participating restaurants, people have plenty of diverse menus to choose from. Each participating restaurant created a menu specifically for the week that can be found at Click on the logo for the restaurant of your choice, then screenshot or print the menu and present it to the restaurant.

Panel will discuss film

GUTHRIE — A documentary and panel discussion entitled “Children of the Civil Rights” is scheduled for 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 900 E Oklahoma Ave. in Guthrie. The film documents the lives of several Oklahoma City youths and their experiences during the civil rights sit-ins. The free event is a collaboration of the Guthrie Public Library, Guthrie Friends of the Library and the Oklahoma Historical Society. Refreshments will be served at 1:30 p.m., with the movie screening at 2 p.m.
