MAPS: Number of 3.0, higher earthquakes in January down from a year ago
Fewer 3.0 and higher magnitude earthquakes rattled Oklahoma in January than the previous time period last year.
Within the last 30 days, only 18 quakes with a magnitude of 3.0 or higher were recorded. In January 2016, 102 earthquakes with a 3.0 or higher magnitude were recorded from Jan. 1-30.
