Building torn down at Bryant Square
EDMOND — Demolition crews this week tore down the building that once housed Mackie McNear's Steakhouse in Bryant Square shopping center at Second Street and Bryant Avenue.
A new building will match the exterior design of the shopping center, which is being updated.
PDQ restaurant is expected to open in the new building at the Mackie McNear's location.
The new building will be constructed to the east of the old building so the parking lot can be redesigned and made more driver-friendly.
PDQ, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, is a fast casual restaurant specializing in hand-battered chicken tenders, made-to-order sandwiches, daily cut fries, hand-spun milkshakes and salads. This will be its first restaurant in Oklahoma, according to its website.
