A Closer Look at Future HeyDay Entertainment in Lower Bricktown
When Red Pin Bowling Lounge on the canal level of the Centennial Building closed last summer along with Bolero's on street level above, the plan by Randy and Brad Hogan was already set.
Their ideal tenant would be HeyDay Entertainment, an award-winning entertainment venue in Norman. Talks were underway almost immediately, and the deal was pretty much done last month. But the lease wasn't signed until Friday.
The folks who attempted Red Pin worked hard and had the best of intentions. But from the start, the venue's design was simply failing to provide the energy such an establishment needs long term. The dining area was ... well... a dining area. There was no connection with the bowling lanes. And bowling was pretty much the only entertainment aspect to Red Pin, even though the space was a massive 12,700 square feet.

The patio area, also large, was treated as an after thought, with just a scattering of tables and chairs that rarely got used or promoted.
As detailed in my story in The Oklahoman, HeyDay Entertainment will occupy the former Red Pin space and the Bolero's bar room just north of Dekora Sushi (which itself underwent an impressive make-over and rebrand). The former Bolero's restaurant space next to Starbucks will be turned into the revival of Sussy's Italian restaurant.
The following plans filed at City Hall show how everything is set to change in the former Red Pin as part of a $600,000 renovation being done by HeyDay:

And private dining rooms:
The stairway will lead to a second floor, adult game room and lounge, which will double as a sports bar.
Co-Owners Brad Little and Trey Bates say they are excited to grow the HeyDay brand downtown and create the perfect hotspot for corporate and group events, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday events, date nights and the finest in a pregame hangout atmosphere. Hours of operation will be the same as HeyDay Entertainment in Norman.
