Wizard World announces OKC show in 2017
The Wizard World comic-book conventions and pop culture shows have announced their 2017 dates, and the show is making its first Oklahoma City stop, according to information from the company. Wizard World has held a Tulsa show the past three years. Next year, the show looks to instead be making an Oklahoma City stop in October.
The dates for the 16 shows are below:

“We have been working diligently to put together a schedule which will allow fans from across the country to enjoy the world-class celebration of pop culture and fandom that every Wizard World Comic Con show provides,” said John Maatta , President and CEO of Wizard World, in a news release. “We are excited to return to some of our most successful and longest-running shows in Chicago, Philadelphia, New Orleans and Portland.”
No specific location is currently listed for the Oklahoma City show.
Headliners for each show will be announced closer to the show dates. Sebastian Stan, the Winter Soldier in the "Captain America" films; and William Shatner of "Star Trek" fame headlined this past weekend's Wizard World convention in Tulsa.
The Wizard World Comic Con Costume Contest will take place at each show on Saturday night.
