Norman-based author Jeff Provine is joining with OKC artist Ellis Goodson for the illustrated book "31 Ghost Stories."

Provine, known for his walking ghost tour of OU's Norman campus, has published three "Haunted" books focusing on campus, and more recently wrote a book on "Haunted OKC."

"As Halloween approaches, I'm launching a new project with Ellis Goodson on Kickstarter," Provine said in an e-mail. "We've put together an illustrated anthology in the fashion of the old Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark."

Provine said each copy purchased via the Kickstarter, at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/851890881/31-ghost-stories, will be matched with a copy donated to a library or book drive.

The Kickstarter runs through November 10. Videos with art and sample readings are available on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CbXuDpn_Zw. Backers who would like to name a destination for donated copies may contact Provine through his website, www.jeffprovine.com.
