Watch Steven Adams and Enes Kanter 'rescue' Kevin Durant

It's been months since Kevin Durant announced plans to skip town for California, but some Thunder fans are still struggling to pick up the pieces.

On Monday, sports columnist Bill Simmons' latest project, The Ringer, released a video reimagining Thunder big men Enes Kanter and Steven Adams as a Super Mario-like duo out to rescue Durant from the clutches of the Golden State Warriors.

Fueled by the superpowers of a healthy diet and exercise, Kanter and Adams — with help from Russell Westbrook — power through a bevy of opponents, including a groin-kicking Draymond Green and a mouthguard-slinging Steph Curry.

Also on Monday, Ringer staff writer Shea Serrano crunched the data and came to the conclusion that, after moving to the Bay Area, Durant qualifies as an NBA villain:

It’s hard to think of Kevin Durant as a villain and it’s hard to call Kevin Durant a villain, too, even though that’s exactly what he is now.

I don’t know what it is about him. Maybe it’s that his frame is so slight — how could he ever (hypothetically) destroy me and my whole family, you know what I’m saying?
