The Oklahoman’s Matthew Price interviews OKC artist and storyteller Jerry Bennett. Bennett has illustrated several comic books and children's books and created shirt designs for Marvel and Lucasfilm and many more. He has also created an exclusive print for the Stan Lee Foundation. As cinematographer/storyboard artist, he recently helped develop an award-winning animated short film called Even in Death. He talks about his upcoming projects and his upcoming appearance at OKC’s Geekinomicon, set for Sept. 2-4 at the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens, Oklahoma City.

An excerpt:

Jerry Bennett: It's awesome that (Geekinomicon is) embracing Oklahoma ... that's going to make this a really successful con. They came to me wanting me to create original artwork as part of their promotion to feature the 20th (anniversary) reunion of the 8th Doctor, and they have all the cast members from that show that are coming to it, so I got to create a really fun piece and relate it to that, so I'm excited.
