Fancy a trip to the UK? Now is a good time
The UK is leaving the European Union. Depending on your perspective, it's either a darkest day since the Beatles broke up or the best since a storm sank the Spanish armada in 1588.
Regardless, if you've always wanted to visit England now is a good time. In the wake of the Brexit surprise the British pound has crashed to 1985 levels.
As of 10:26 a.m. today, one British pound is worth $1.36 of our money.
When I first went to England in 2014, the pound was worth nearly $1.70 of our money.
While that might not seem like a big drop, it all adds up over the course of a stay. And if you're sure you're going to make a trip, even more savings can be locked in by paying in advance for hotels while the pound is low.
