SoonerCon Spotlight: OKC Podcast community

Interested  in podcasting? The OKC Podcast Community will be on hand with a variety of activities at SoonerCon.

SoonerCon will be held this weekend at the Reed Conference Center, 5800 Will Rogers Rd, in Midwest City.  Memberships at the door are $25 for one day and $50 for three days.  The show runs 10 a.m. to midnight June 24-25 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. June 26.

Check out the provided information below:

The OKC Podcast Community formed in early 2016 after several local podcasts appeared as guests on a podcast-review show the Okie Geek Podcast. The show went so well that they decided to form a community for resources, networking, and camaraderie, hosting monthly meet-ups and online group pages. Member shows of the OKC Podcast Community include movie-analysis network Good Trash Media, comic-review podcast Graphomania, and Blacken Studios, which has shows for geek culture, martial arts, Christian values, and more. The OKC Podcast Community will be at their table in Artist Alley throughout the Soonercon weekend. Geek and gaming culture podcast Red Six to Golden Corral will do a live show Friday at 8 PM. Courtney Oliphant of the movie-review podcast Chicks with Flicks will moderate the Podcasting for Beginners panel on Saturday at noon. Stop by the table to learn about even more shows being recorded right here in Oklahoma City! For all of the shows in our collective any time, check out our RSS feed at
