EDMOND — Three planners and two administrative assistants make up Edmond's planning department.

Their job is to administer new development and construction in Edmond. The rule book is the city's zoning code, which provides guidelines for building setbacks, height of structures, lot sizes and properties' correct usages.

A five-member planning commission reviews applications and makes recommendation to the city council. The commission meets twice a month at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the council chambers, 20 S Littler Ave.

Its members are appointed by the city council.
