New kid on the block: Cattleman joins board
Friday was the fist meeting for Jarold Callahan as a member of the Board of Regent for Oklahoma State University and the A&M Colleges.
Gov. Mary Fallin appointed Callahan, of Edmond, to complete a term that expires in 2018. He replaces Andy Lester, who was appointed to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
Callahan is president of Express Ranches, a large purebred and commercial ranching operation headquartered in Yukon, and owner/operator of Callahan Cattle Co. with operations in Oklahoma, Blaine and Craig counties.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in animal science from OSU in 1976 and a master's degree in agriculture from the University of Arkansas in 1980.
