The state medical examiner has ruled the death of energy industry leader Aubrey McClendon an accident.
In an autopsy report, medical examiners said the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma to the torso and extremities. McClendon's body also sustained burns and charring after death.
Toxicology tests for alcohol and carbon monoxide were negative. An analysis detected the presence of doxylamine in McClendon's liver. Doxylamine is an antihistamine found in some cold and allergy medication.
