EDMOND — The Hope Center was the recipient of the Grocery Grab sponsored by Edmond Boulevard Rotary Club.

Tickets were sold for the chance to win a two-minute shopping spree at Uptown Grocery in Edmond.

This year's winner was George Strecker, of Edmond Summit Rotary, who donated his winning ticket to the Hope Center of Edmond.

Brandi Wilson, work-study student at the Hope Center, had two minutes to shop five designated aisles. She gathered $332.91 in groceries.

"She grabbed a lot of peanut butter and canned meat," said Chris Sperry, Hope Center's executive director. "Those are two of the most important staples in our food pantry, and we often run out."

Sperry said she was grateful to Strecker and Edmond Boulevard Rotary for the supporting the Hope Center.
