Severe storms possible Thursday in Oklahoma

Another round of severe weather is moving into Oklahoma this week, bringing chances for tornadoes, strong winds and large hail.

Thursday afternoon and evening will bring chances for severe thunderstorms across central and western Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports. Best chances for severe storms will be in northwest Oklahoma, including Woodward and Clinton, forecasters said.

Those storms could bring hail up to softball size and wind up to 80 mph, forecasters said. The chance for tornadoes is low, forecasters said.

Chances for strong to severe storms will continue through early next week, forecasters said.
