Restaurant offers free meals to families hurt by state budget shortfall
On Tuesday, Gary Hicks, a Noble resident, took to Facebook to announce what he planned to do to help. Hicks owns Tiffany's Restaurant, a diner in Noble. Hicks announced the restaurant would offer free meals to anyone affected by the move.
"I will offer this to anyone that needs it over the next 3 months; when you choose to pay electric and run out of money because the state has had a BUDGET shortfall come into Tiffany’s and we will feed you until you are able to make ends meet," Hicks wrote.
Within hours, the restaurant's Facebook page was inundated with comments from people thanking the restaurant for its support, many promising to buy lunch at the restaurant as a way to offer support.
