Beauty boutique offers head-to-toe Korean beauty products
Korean beauty products have been grabbing attention – and setting trends -- for years. BB cream, CC cream and sheet masks were staples in Korea long before U.S. brands saw the light and developed their own.
But Korea has dozens of innovative products that American women want and seek online. A few products have trickled into stores such as Sephora and Ulta, but for beauty-loving women, it’s not enough.
It was only a matter of time before a store devoted to K-beauty products threw open its doors in the United States. Welcome to Amore. Or Aritaum, depending on where you live.
Along with leading Korean skincare brands such as IOPE, Laneige, Mamonde, Hanyul and Sulwhasoo, the stores also offer a tempting selection of makeup, bath and body, and hair care items.
Many of the products use active ingredients known for their medicinal qualities such as red ginseng, lotus flower and green tea. Korean skincare philosophy is to use these creams, gels and mists along with a holistic and customized regimen that emphasizes prevention, protection and rejuvenation.
Some of Amore’s featured skincare products include IOPE Air Cushion, the best-selling cushion foundation in Korea, and Super Vital Cream Bio Excellent, an ultra-rich anti-aging moisturizer. Laneige’s best-selling products are Firming Sleeping Mask and Water Sleeping Mask. Mamonde’s signature product is First Energy Serum. Hanyul’s top seller is Rice Essential Skin Softener. Sulwhasoo is known for its First Care Activating Serum.
More than 70 Amore stores are located across the United States and Canada with more coming this year. The closest to Oklahoma City are in Plano and Carrollton, Texas.
The beauty stores, usually called Aritaum outside North America, are a division of AmorePacific, South Korea’s No. 1 skincare and cosmetics company with more than 1,600 stores worldwide.
