Signing up for email newsletters just got easier
Sometimes, my day is full of meetings.
Those days, I don’t get a chance to browse through the NewsOK.com home multiple times per day. I don’t get to check my phone and the NewsOK App to see which stories are featured on the main pages.
I don’t get a chance on those days to have conversations with the NewsOK web editors and The Oklahoman’s reporters and hear about the stories we are expecting and the news we are going to break.
On those days, however, my email saves the day.
NewsOK.com sends dozens of emails every day to hundreds of thousands of recipients. I am one of those recipients, and the daily headlines emails I receive at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. keep me updated. I can browse that email and see the main story of that hour and the top stories within the past few hours.
It doesn’t tell me everything. It’s no replacement for the main website or app, but it certainly catches me up on the news in Oklahoma better than any other source.
I get more than just the daily headlines at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. I also receive daily sports updates in the morning and updates for OU, OSU and the Oklahoma City Thunder. And I get the daily Business newsletter and the weekly Food and Recipes newsletter.
But the breaking news emails might be the most valuable. Again, those emails don’t tell me everything, but I can be sure to hear about the most important news of the day with those emails.
Signing up is easier than ever. This week, NewsOK launched an area on our main pages to allow users to sign up by simply adding their email address into a form.
It looks like this:
In the past, we have required a NewsOK profile login to get our emails.
Sign up and stay informed.
