#StillwaterStrong campaign gets largest donation yet
STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State Student Government Association and Eskimo Joe’s donated $73,000 to Stillwater Medical Center for the #StillwaterStrong campaign.
Eskimo Joe’s designed and printed the #StillwaterStrong official T-shirt shortly after the homecoming tragedy. More than 9,000 shirts have been sold from the University Store in the Student Union and at Eskimo Joe’s since.
Both Eskimo Joe’s and the University Store included a link on their websites so people anywhere could purchase the T-shirts. Eskimo Joe’s CEO Stan Clark said it was important to help the campaign.
SGA member Jacquelyn Lane worked on the T-shirt campaign with OSU officials, Stillwater Medical Center and Eskimo Joe’s.
Scott Petty, executive director of the SMC Foundation, said the Eskimo Joe’s and the SGA donation is the single largest donation received to date.
The #StillwaterStrong campaign has raised more than $366,000, which ensures the parade crash victims will not be charged for the treatments they received, Petty said.
