A band that originated in Oklahoma confirmed via Facebook Friday evening that it was in Paris and unharmed.
Originally formed in Stillwater, Other Lives are scheduled to support the band Belle and Sebastian Thursday, Nov. 19 at a venue in Paris, according to the music website Songkick.
A statement was posted to Other Lives' official Facebook account Friday evening that read "We're in Paris, and we're safe. Words cannot describe this atrocity. All of our thoughts are with the people in France."
Jonathon Mooney, a member of the band, also updated his Facebook account Friday evening saying that he was safe.
Attempts to contact members of the band Friday evening were unsuccessful.
