NewsOK roundup: A new look, a photo contest and a mobile version of comics
There are a lot of new things available for our users on NewsOK.com.
That's not unusual. There are continuous tweaks and designs and additional pages made to better serve our growing online audience every day.
Today, I'll highlight a few updates from the past week.
Article templates on NewsOK
Weeks ago, we launched a new article template on the mobile version of NewsOK. It was a subtle change, but it was noticed by a lot more users than I suspected. It's a cleaner look throughout the article, and the display is punctuated by a continuous scrolling list of similar articles at bottom.
In the past week, we launched the desktop version of the article template. It's less subtle than the mobile version, so we had a lot of good response immediately. Again, it's a clean look with a continuous scroll of similar articles at the end.

You can share your pretty photos
The hashtag #OKFallFoliage is just sitting there on the Internet waiting. It's waiting for you to share your photos.
We've joined with Bedford Camera & Video to give away gift cards to the best photos we find in the next few weeks.
Tiffany Gibson wrote about it:
Tag your photos with #OKFallFoliage on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter through Nov. 25 for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Bedford Camera & Video. We're giving away five to our top winners. And, we'll even run some of the photos in The Oklahoman and feature them in a gallery on NewsOK.com.
We have your comic strip
You already know NewsOK as your spot for breaking and trending news, so you might be surprised by the number of our users who use the comics page every day on the site. There are more than 100 comic strips updated each day, so your favorite is probably there.
And as of this past week, we now have the comics experience on our mobile site, as well. Just tap on the navigation and scroll down to the area below A&E. Click on the comics link.
