Junior League of Oklahoma City has first meeting

Members of the Junior League of Oklahoma City held the first meeting at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. Theme “Team JLOC” featured red and white tablecloths, centerpieces with JLOC pennants and pom poms. Nazette Zuhdi-Cleaver is League president.
Mini hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, French fries and cookies were served.
Brian Attebery, owner of Results Fitness and Nutrition, Edmond, was one of the guest speakers. He discussed top fitness myths and answered questions. He is an official trainer for the Miss Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois and Arkansas USA pageants, the teen counterparty for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants and the Miss Oklahoma, Missouri and Washington Miss America Pageant System. Also speaking was Rebekah Wheeler, active JLOC member. She talked about her journey to become Mrs. Oklahoma and her platform “Positive Self Image-You Are Enough.” She was crowned Mrs. Oklahoma 2015 and will compete for Mrs. America 2015.
Junior League members have a five- year- commitment to a health and wellness focus. Their mission is to impact healthy lifestyles through community projects focusing on improving physical, emotional and mental well- being.
