Blue Moon might be shy in the sky tonight
With partly cloudy skies forecast for tonight, you might not have the best view of the blue moon.
But don't let that deter you from looking toward the sky in search of the white celestial sphere.
What is a blue moon?
A blue moon doesn't mean the moon will turn blue, although that would be pretty interesting to see. A blue moon is the second full moon that occurs within one month.
Tonight, the blue moon will rise at 8:43 p.m. from the northeast. But, if the clouds don't cooperate, here are photos of other blue moons:
