Faith Notes: Tuesday, April 21, 2015
Here are several faith-themed events happening in the metro area Monday, April 20, and later in the week:
Tuesday, April 21
The Edmond Baha'i Faith community is celebrating the Festival of Ridvan, the holiest period of the Baha'I calendar. The festival commemorates the Baha'i founder Baha'u'llah's 1863 declaration as God's messenger for today. At 3 p.m., the Edmond Baha'i Faith community will host a one-hour program at 321 Campbell Drive in Edmond. The program will include devotional readings and music. Refreshments will be served afterward. For more information, call 348-9992.
Wednesday, April 22 (Earth Day)
A Walk for Earth is set for 6:45 p.m. beginning at the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference headquarters, 1501 NW 24. Organizers said the event for all ages will be little more than a mile around and through the Oklahoma City University campus, which is near the Methodist headquarters. Live music will begin at 6 p.m., followed by remarks from Johnson Bridgwater, Sierra Club state director, and students from three local universities. The walk will begin at 6:45 p.m.
