Fun stuff do in Oklahoma for Memorial Day weekend

Many people go to the lake on Memorial Day weekend. Some stay in town, content to grill in their backyards and have family and friends over.

TravelOK has put together a list of things to do in Oklahoma if you’re not into any of that. While trips within our home state might not seem like an exotic getaway, sometimes they hit the spot.

Locally, the 45th Infantry Museum is a great place to go if you’re feeling patriotic, or interested in WWII era artifacts.

Further away, the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site is managed by the National Park Service and has a top notch visitor center. It’s one of the most overlooked historical places in our state (for my money).
