Oklahoma Contemporary Art Center's spring dinner

Oklahoma Contemporary Art Center's spring dinner was held at the Mercedes-Benz showroom. Cocktails were served across the street in the two- story gallery (fashioned out of four shipping containers) at NW 11th and Broadway. The organization's new building is planned to be adjacent to this site and the temporary gallery, office and showroom opened to the public with a ribbon cutting on March 26th.

Oklahoma Contemporary co-founder and president Christian Keesee, Artistic director and chief curator Gretchen Wagner, and Showroom lead architect Todd Edmonds spoke at the event. Guitarist Edgar Cruz played during the evening.

Crystal vases with bouquets of yellow, white, red and pink tulips decorated the long tables set up in the showroom.

On the planning committee were Kim Bruno, Joshua Fahrenbruck, Julia Hall, Christian Keesee, Chad Mount, Kelly Pepkin, Lisa Caughn and Rachel Shortt, chairman.

121 people attended the event which featured a three- course meal. Among those at the party were Brad Simons, Lela and Mark Sullivan, Jennifer Thurman, Judy Hatfield, Donna Rinehart-Keever, Jose Freede, Joan Gilmore, Marni and Joshua Fahrenbruck, Rachel and David Shortt, Rebecca and Todd Edmonds, Polly and Larry Nichols, Lisa and Tony Vaughn, Laura and Henry Hood, Sue Ann Arnell, Steve Agee, Rebecca and John Budd, Ann and Bill Johnstone, Jeanette and Rand Elliott, Mary Ellen Gumerson.
