Fields & Futures is doing some amazing work in Oklahoma City.

Founded only three years by local businessman and philanthropist Tim McLaughlin, the nonprofit organization is transforming the athletic fields in the Oklahoma City Public School district. It is already well on its way to overhauling and renovating every single athletic field at every single high school and middle school in the city district. In the process, Fields & Futures is transforming the futures of kids who are playing sports and reaping the benefits of that. Better grades. Higher attendance. Learning teamwork. Fostering pride.

Fields & Futures is helping many.

But now, it could use a little help.

The nonprofit has been selected as one of five national finalists for The Lids Foundation’s “Tip the Hat Award”. The top prize is $125,000.

The winner will be selected through online voting. People can only vote once during the two-week voting period, which started Monday and ends Feb. 15, but people can vote from multiple IP addresses, i.e. a computer, a smart phone or a tablet.

No email or personal information is required to vote, so it’s easy and quick.
