Monday's storm brought heavy rains to eastern Oklahoma
Although western and central Oklahoma didn’t get much help from a storm system that passed through the state over the weekend, it was a different picture in the eastern half of the state. Several Oklahoma Mesonet weather network sites in eastern Oklahoma measured 2 inches or more of rain Monday. The Mesonet site in Jay, in Delaware County, recorded 3.02 inches.
More rain is possible Tuesday in southeast Oklahoma, according to the National Weather Service’s Norman office. The southeastern portion of the state could see an additional 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain.
