Video: Want a Porche 911? This guy's story might make you think twice

Imagine you’ve saved up your hard-earned money to finally buy the car of your dreams: In this case, it’s a brand new Porsche 911, which ranges in price between $85,000 and about $172,000.

You get your car, it’s amazing. It’s beautiful. It’s a true gem of the road.

Then you discover it has a ton of problems that a $12,000 Chevrolet Spark shouldn’t have, much less a Porsche 911.

Porsche owner Nick Murray is wishing he could reverse time after all of the troubles he’s had with his new ride. Troubles like strange error messages in the dash that make no sense, electrical problems, side-view mirrors that adjust themselves randomly (and not for the benefit of the driver) and, worst of all, smoke coming from the dash for no apparent reason.

Murray’s car has been in and out of the repair shop time and time again, and has had a laundry list of things replaced and repaired on it. But nothing is helping or working.

Murray created this video (warning: graphic language from a very disappointed and frustrated man) in order to get the attention of someone above the repair manager he’s been working with, because now Porsche is trying to buy back the car for what they think Murray would get through arbitration.

Porsche has yet to respond to the video, but I’d imagine they’ll make it right and either refund Murray completely or give him a new (working) car. As of this writing, the video is creeping up to 675,000 views, which forces pretty much everyone to take notice.

No doubt Murray got a lemon of a car, and that this is truly one of those flukes that happen every once-in-a-while. But, I do feel bad for the guy. Whether it’s a Spark, Explorer or Porsche, when you pay good money for a brand new car, you deserve for that car to work without the slightest hiccup.
