A closer look at this week's forecast

From the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office:

“A period of cooler, drier weather is expected for the beginning of this week,

followed by a chance of showers and storms by mid to late week.

“Wildfire dangers will be elevated Wednesday and especially Thursday.

“Showers and some thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday and Thursday across parts of

Oklahoma and western north Texas.

“The rain will be due to a couple of upper level storm systems moving across the region along with

a cold front Thursday.”
